SACRED JOURNEY FOR WOMEN: "The Seven Gates"

Walk in Her footsteps: Wearing her garments and remembering her stories; toning, dancing, dreaming, and creating ceremony.

Honoring the sacred feminine and divine mother earth.

See the stories of Artemis come to life before you in her temple in Jerash; dance atop Mount Mukawir, where Salome once danced, against the backdrop of the setting sun and the Dead Sea; experience the power of chanting inside the Monastery in Petra; meet local women; share your night dreams in morning dream circles and unlock their messages; create ceremony to honor the sacred earth…

This travel workshop is intended for women interested in learning about the mythology of Jordan, meeting local women, and embarking on a personal spiritual journey to connect with and awaken the sacred feminine. It is suited for women who prefer an in-depth experience, without rushing and with enough leisure time to connect with the spirit of the place, the people, and the inner world.

Jordan is rich with mythic stories from the Nabatean to the Greco-Roman era, with influences from Egypt and Mesopotamia. The goddesses that were venerated here include Isis, Ishtar, Aphrodite, Artemis, Al-Uzza, and Tyche. On this journey, you will learn about these figures and how to use their stories to reveal your personal mythology and gain a deeper understanding of yourself.  Workshops on sound and movement meditation are sprinkled throughout the journey, combining the facilitator’s studies in archetypal psychology, as well as her practical experience in the principles of belly dance, guided visualization and shamanic dream re-entry.

Lana Nasser, a storyteller, writer, and performing artist. Native to Jordan, she is a researcher of mythology and dreams and holds a Masters in Consciousness Studies with a concentration in Dream Studies. She published several articles, performs internationally, and leads workshops in the United States and Jordan.
