Archetypal images in myths and dreams are valuable tools; they provide a window into the unconscious and shed light unto our spiritual and emotional lives. By engaging with these stories through movement and visualization, we connect with parts of ourselves that are otherwise dormant. We tap into our inner wisdom, reconcile with our shadow, and release our creativity. Working with the story of Inanna/Ishtar's Descent, Lana guides participants through the seven gates by way of voice and drum. Drawing on various traditions and practices, she combines storytelling, belly-dance inspired movements, yogic breathing, sound, and guided visualization to unblock the energy centers of the body, relieve tension, and experience an enchanted way of being. Her work aims at celebrating the Sakina/Shekinah in the temple of the soul, dancing from the inside out, tuning to the soul's vibrations, and giving voice to the inner divine.
